(also: at the moment i'm following everyone that follows me back, but the big reason i don't do that on tumblr is because hearing about realtime news and how the world is bad and everyone is *phobic/*ist does a huge number on my mental health. 

i'm assuming that there won't be lengthy rants on the irredeemable state of Pretty Much Everything at this stage of the site, but if there are and you feel inclined to post/reblog them, i'll probably end up unfollowing. sorry ^^;;

ALTERNATELY if you wouldn't mind tagging them 'escapism breaker' or 'the heavy stuff' similar, i'd be perfectly happy to stick around.

either way, if i unfollow you it's 100% for the sake of me not jumping off the deep end (again), and no offense meant to any involved. ^^;

EDIT: this goes for any form of ship-shaming & pro-censorship posts too... except i'm really passionate about those things and may end up flat-out blocking everyone i see engaging in them :'D sorry in advance o/

the stuff i'd like tagged for the sake of my sanity: (intentionally misspelled to avoid blacklists)

• human rights violations (looking at you, ABP)
• anything to do with oppression of any group (sex|sm, rac|sm, homophob|a, transphob|a, and so on)
• cu r r e nt events
• anything to do with The Evil Carrot (or other destructive governmental forces) (aka pol|t|cs)

it doesn't really matter what this stuff is tagged, just as long as the tag is consistent. i'm good at catching on and have no issues with updating my (fairly extensive) blacklist. 💪

but, again, i have nothing against you if you choose not to tag. i just... can't follow you. :'D)

  • hallie speaks > the most common tag on my blog probably; i talk a lot. 
  • hallie whispers > the talktag for followers only posts
  • claireventra > vent tag personalized for custom blacklisting
  • roll up (and come get ya love) > me listing good things about the day to forcibly beat back The Depression
  • food talk > talking about fooooood
  • fandom wank > bitching about fandom in general
  • wank > for simply the truly petty
  • shenanigans > the friendtag
  • adventures in writing > i'm a writer?? allegedly. (i'm not convinced.)
    • "adventures in x" is actually a tag i use for a lot of #just creator things—notably art, editing, and coding
• fandoms:
  • tagged by both acronym (tdp, bnha, ml, vld) and full-ish name (the dragon prince, boku no hero academia, miraculous ladybug, voltron)
  • ships are tagged with the common name
  • characters are NOT tagged
  • spoilers are tagged... erratically, but i usually go with '[acronym] spoilers' (vld spoilers, tdp spoilers, bnha spoilers, ml spoilers)
    • for chapter/episode specific spoilers, i tag for a few days after the release
    • for book/season/movie spoilers, i tag for a couple weeks after the release
• other:
  • kittykitty > cat tag
  • [no dog tag yet but will update when decided]
  • music/music rec > i live to share music, apparently?? 
  • cool stuff > it's not fandom- or animal-related but still something i want on my blog
  • i try to keep in mind what i've seen on people's blacklists, but i am... erratic. 
    • i try to tag possible phobias with *phobia (emetophob|a, entomophob|a, tyrophob|a, arachnophob|a, etc)
    • ns/fw and ns/fw text are both tagged
    • i try to do other sweeps of possible issues but legit always feel free to ask me to tag something. it's the best way to get it to stick.
  • social justicy stuff > me getting ticked tf off at tumblr's vantablack vs god-given holy light way of looking at things and writing essays about it (let me tell you about #woke aesthetic art of african americans...)
